Academic scholarships are awarded to incoming first-year students. Awards for returning students are automatically renewed or awarded provided the student meets the criteria for renewing or receiving merit-based financial aid. Please contact the financial aid office if you have questions regarding requirements for academic scholarships.
All students must reapply for need-based financial aid each year. Returning students must submit the FAFSA or a renewal FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov) (MCCN code 030719), to be considered for federal and state financial aid. The FAFSA is also required as a part of many of the MCCN endowment scholarship applications. The FAFSA should be completed as soon as possible every year. MCCN’s priority filing deadline is March 15th.
MCCN will create financial aid award notifications for returning students that have completed the necessary steps to apply for financial aid (see the 申请援助 link and CARMELink; 金融援助 tab for missing documents). If you will not be filing a FAFSA, please contact the financial aid office. A financial aid award notification is a summary of all the federal, state and institutional financial aid awards you are eligible to receive based upon your program, status, 出勤费用 (Understanding 出勤费用)，以及FAFSA信息.
A financial aid award notification includes the following information:
- A list of all the financial aid awards you are eligible to receive for the academic year
- 出勤费用 for the academic year found at Understanding 出勤费用
- List of requirements you must complete in order to receive your financial aid found at CARMELink; 金融援助 tab
MCCN will begin awarding returning students in early March. 一旦你获得了奖励, you will receive an email notification directing you to your award available on CARMELink, under the 金融援助 tab. You will be required to complete any necessary paperwork to receive your awards.
A revised award notification will be prepared if subsequent changes are made to your financial aid.
